This week Matt and Jason spoke to antiwar legend and Ron Paul's right-hand man, Daniel McAdams. Daniel is the executive director of the Ron Paul Institute For Peace & Prosperity. He also served as the foreign affairs, civil liberties, and defense/intel policy advisor to U.S. Congressman Ron Paul from 2001 until Dr. Paul’s retirement at the end of 2012. For several years in the 90s, he worked as a journalist based in Budapest, Hungary, and traveled through the former communist bloc as a human rights monitor and election observer.
In our conversation this week, we discussed the Rage Against the War Machine rally in Washington, DC, just a week earlier, and the left/right coalition that organized the rally. We also listened to a clip from the Rachel Maddow show about the rally and discussed how she framed it as a blatant act of propaganda. We talked about why war propaganda is so important to the war machine and why it has worked for decades. We also dissected the billions sent to Ukraine and the Nordstream 2 pipeline explosion in the Baltic sea. We talked about how intelligence agencies influence the information wars and delved into the extremely relevant question: Is journalism dead? (Length: 59:09)
